“My paintings result from the intense observation of the sky and it's minute changes in hue and colour. That magical period of the day leading up to sunset and soon after, a time where the sky changes dramatically, the colours can be both intense and subtle. The mystery of the night begins to envelope the land. The day ends, a marking of time. The seduction of momentary beauty in an evening sky is an elusive thing, but here it is frozen in paint on canvas in all it's luminosity”.
