"Inspired by the coastline of the Bay of Fundy between Yarmouth and Digby in Clare, Digby County, Nova Scotia, I strive to get a sense of the landscape around me: wetlands, dunes, beaches, and marking the shoreline, cliffs and caves.
2012 was my 5th summer visit here and every visit has become a repetitive attempt to capture something in picture form that is much too awesome – too large to grapple with.
When sketching and painting out in the field, I challenge myself by working quickly in an attempt not to see too much.
Results can be discouraging, however on occasion we celebrate success. Art happens!"
