Born in South Australia in 1964, Dianne Graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts, Fine Art from the South Australian School of Art. Dianne has been dedicated to her art practice for more than 25 years and has a strong exhibiting history, holding almost 20 solo exhibitions and participating in over 100 group shows, including those in Museums and numerous other curated exhibitions. She has also been a finalist in the Eutick Still Life Award & the Mount Eyre Vineyards Art Prize. The work is held in numerous private collections worldwide, as well as in the Australian Parliament House Collection.

The current body of work explores the genre of Film Noir as the vehicle to express Dianne’s personal thoughts and observations of what human interaction is. Images in the work often imagine a Utopia waiting just beyond a door, however, there is something not quite right lurking beneath the veneer of tranquility. Pristine interiors, marbled walls and floors, shadows play with the psychological presence of people inhabiting the scenes. The imagined reality of the viewer is sometimes taken to the dark side, however as a frozen image we are left lingering for more clues.
